The SMM AWARD 2021 is Switzerland's exclusive MEM industry prize, which honors innovations from the manufacturing industry. On November 24, 2021, the winner for 2021 was chosen: it is the innovative AI commerce solution from Imnoo.
"The Imnoo software pulverizes the unpaid initial costs in the quotation process and thus secures margins," said the top-class jury for the SMM Award. Second place went to the pioneering gripping and clamping system from Gressel. With the R-C2 robot clamping module, the Swiss specialist for workpiece clamping technology is bringing significant movement to automated component processing of small and medium-sized batches. On the one hand, the R-C2 acts as a centric clamp for fixing and clamping the raw part or partially machined semi-finished product, and on the other hand as an integrated means of transport for the entire loading and unloading handling of raw parts, semi-finished products and finished parts.
The smart technology from Liquidtool Systems AG, the start-up from Blaser Swisslube, came in third place. Their Liquidtool Manager is the world's first intelligent solution for monitoring cooling lubricants, which is put into operation via Plug & Play and automatically, easily and reliably monitors the condition of cooling lubricants in real time. Liquidtool Systems thus combines intelligent technology and reliable sensor technology in its product, in which data can be retrieved anytime and anywhere thanks to a cloud-based platform.
This is the first time the award has been presented in this form, as innovations in the industry all too often go unnoticed and do not reach the general public, which is very unfortunate. The SMM Award is one way of making change and innovation in the industry accessible to a wider public.
