Innovative calculation: the transformation of Feramic AG with Imnoo
Feramic AG, a company specialising in additive manufacturing and CNC machining, is based not far from Lake Zurich. With the introduction of Imnoo, Feramic AG has been able to massively accelerate its quotation calculation and thus gain a decisive competitive advantage. Martin Hofer, the Managing Director, talks about the change that Imnoo has brought to his company:
The initial situation
Feramic AG, with seven employees, specialises in the additive manufacturing of metal and also offers CNC production for steel, aluminium and plastic. The ability to respond quickly to customer enquiries and deliver ready-to-install parts has always been Feramic AG's strength. In recent years, however, the speed of the industry has increased massively. An old-fashioned, manual calculation process could no longer keep up. "You can no longer afford to need a week for a quotation!" says Hofer.
The challenge
Martin Hofer describes the challenge his company faced as follows: We were forced to optimise internal processes and drastically reduce the calculation time for quotations. In an industry where orders have to be fulfilled almost overnight, the traditional way of preparing quotations was no longer viable. "Anyone who is not open to change and innovation here can close up shop," Hofer continues.
Imnoo - The solution!
In his search for a solution, Martin Hofer came across the Imnoo solution during the AMX (trade fair for additive manufacturing in Switzerland). "Of course, a certain leap of faith was necessary," says Hofer, "but we were quickly rewarded and had great added value right from the start! All of Imnoo's necessary functions can be tested free of charge, and data protection is guaranteed because every customer trains Marvin, Imnoo's company-specific AI, exclusively with their data.
The results
With Imnoo, Feramic AG can significantly reduce the processing time for quotations, resulting in time savings of over 12 hours per week. In addition, the time saved allows the company to create more quotations and increase acquisition, marketing and sales activities.
The benefits of Imnoo quickly became apparent: a more efficient quotation system and the ability to respond quickly to enquiries, which in turn increases the order rate.
